Whack a Piñata started with one simple idea; to make celebrations more joyful and special.
While planning a party, I couldn’t find a piñata that was fun, well-made, and unique… so I decided to create one myself. But what began as a creative experiment soon became something far more meaningful.
When I hired a young woman who was in need of work, everything changed. Seeing how much this small opportunity meant to her; the pride, the confidence, and the hope it brought gave me a new purpose.
Today, Whack a Piñata isn’t just about parties. It’s about people; about empowering women, spreading happiness, and turning every celebration into a moment worth remembering.
Our Founder's Journey
Whack A Piñata started with one simple idea. I just wanted a piñata that felt fun, well-made, and worthy of the moment for my nieces birthday. I couldn’t find one that was up to the mark, I made my own… and thats how the brand was born.
But the real turning point came when I hired a young woman who truly needed the work and was willing to do whatever it takes to get the job. Watching her grow in confidence and pride completely changed what this brand meant to me. Just that smile walking in everyday to work brightened my day.
Now, Whack A Piñata isn’t just about piñatas for celebration; it’s about empowering these women who need work to make a living and spreading joy to all the kids through every piece we make.
The past 5 years in this journey has made me realise that it wasn’t just about the piñatas anymore, i was way more… It’s the story, the hands behind it, and the happiness that comes with that perfect whack!
